Williamson County Children’s Advocacy Center

Hope, healing, and justice.

That’s what Williamson County Children’s Advocacy Center (WCCAC) has been providing for victimized children for over 20 years.

Their mission is to provide a safe, inclusive space to disclose and discuss instances of child abuse, reduce emotional trauma for children and their non-offending family members, and extend professional services that protect the integrity of any ongoing investigations.

At their center located in Georgetown, TX, they provide forensic interviews, medical examinations, family advocacy, mental health counseling, and community education. WCCAC works with their partners to walk each child and their non-offending family members through the process of reporting abuse, providing access to their widespread support services — and they do so free of charge.

WCCAC and OpticTour

WCCAC came to us to create a video that does a deep dive into the services they offer, showing the faces behind their amazing team and what they can do to change lives for the better and really make a difference.

After learning more about what makes WCCAC so special, we crafted a script with the team, headed to their office, and got to filming alongside our friend and fellow videographer Jim McKay! Over the course of a month, we shot hours of B-roll, interviews, and more. You can head to this link to give the video a watch.

You might be wondering what we did with a whole month’s worth of footage — and it’s that we put it all together into a custom interactive tour!

With this particular medium, potential visitors are able to get a better feel for WCCAC’s colorful, welcoming space and understand a bit more about how things will run when they visit in person.

The tour starts by providing a beautiful overview of the WCAAC center, allowing you to “walk” through the door to the front desk by clicking on the related trigger point. Once you’re inside, you’re able to explore the entire office, including therapy rooms, observation areas, forensic interview spaces, and more!

We also brought members of the WCCAC team into our audio-recording studio to record voiceovers that we combined with the virtual tour to help guide viewers through the center and its amenities even further. If you’re ready to see everything put together, you can start your very own tour by heading to this link!

In addition to the interactive tour, we also created a Google 360 Tour. You can view it here. WCCAC plans to use this piece to not only help their new visitors feel more comfortable but also to increase their visibility, showing potential victims of abuse and their family members how they can help them process their trauma, heal, and get the justice they deserve.

It’s been an incredible opportunity to partner with the kindhearted, hardworking, and benevolent individuals behind the Williamson County Children’s Advocacy Center. We hope you’ve enjoyed exploring all they have to offer!
