I’m one who loves to travel, but I can honestly say that Mongolia isn’t exactly at the top of my list. I typically go for the tropical locations or something a little more European, but that’s just me. But maybe unlike me, you feel compelled to see everything that Mongolia has to offer. If that’s the case then you’re in luck, because thanks to Google Street View you can see it second hand. It’s probably the closest thing to actually being there.
Back in 2014, a Google Street View team took a trip to Mongolia, and with a street view camera attached to a truck they took off to show the internet just what Mongolia looks like without you ever having to go there.
The most recent trek through Mongolia took the Street View team across over 3,000 miles of Mongolian deserts, rivers, lakes and fields. The weather is pretty great in Mongolia with around 250 days of sunshine every year, so it’s easy to see why the Street View team chose to shoot Mongolia in the first place
“Although adventurers will spend weeks exploring the hidden treasures of Mongolia, you can now join us on a whirlwind tour in just a few clicks,” Wei from Google Street View said, wishing us a “nice journey.”
